After one week in Australia, I got to see the Sydney Opera House and the Sydney Harbour Bridge. It was a magical moment and it was actually nice to do it alone. I took the ferry from Manly, where I currently live, over to Circular Quay. There is a slow ferry and a quick ferry. I chose the slow one. I have decided to use this year in Australia to slow down on everything. This way I also got to see all the beautiful harbours and suburbs on the way over to the big city. I think we are way too often in a hurry. And we are just transporting ourselves from A to B.

I'm an old person trapped in a little bit younger body. So my main goals in Sydney were to see the Opera House, the Sydney Harbour Bridge and the Royal Botanic Garden.

This day I walked 26 000 steps and I made sure to take a lot of short breaks. This way I got to eat at many different cafes and restaurants in Sydney. I must admit, they have a lot of good food there. I had sushi, a veggie burger and endless fresh iced teas. I even went to a place to get my nails done. Thank you Steemit! I appreciate every upvote and comment, you guys are motivating me to write more!
(If you think this is a stupid way to spend my Steemit income - I did book the flight down to Sydney with Steemit cash and I gave a serious chunk of my first Steemit payout to a charity close to my heart.)

It's the biggest city I've ever visited. Or maybe Singapore is close in size, but with more people? I don't know. It was a bit overwhelming to go there all by myself. There were so many people there and everyone was super busy. It was all very high paced and a bit stressful.

I sat down in a pub in a more quiet street. I had two beers, alone, without even touching my phone. It was definitely a new experience. I've always been scared to sit somewhere in public alone for too long. And as I said in an earlier post, I'm going to do more of what scares me.

It was very nice to see Sydney and it was a beautiful place, but when I got back to Manly my heart rate went back to normal. I went for a swim in the ocean. (Cowardly behind the shark fence, as I'm not ready to swim outside of it - yet. But that's also one thing I have to do, because it scares me.) I really enjoyed being back at my friend's place at Little Manly Beach. I'm so happy that I'm able to stay with him until I get my life sorted out here.
Now, I have one goal: find a place to live! I've already scheduled to go see one house later tonight, but I think I have to schedule a couple more. After my trip in to Sydney I realized that I have to live in Manly, or at least the surrounding areas. I'm not stressed about the fact that I have nowhere to live anymore. My friend Daniel said it well:
"You'll have a place to live 99 % of the time, enjoy it."
